I’ve been fascinated by the paranormal for as long as I can remember and always felt a pull towards… something else. It was while I was studying at university that I first learned what that ‘something’ was.
Like many students, I was struck by homesickness and I’m not ashamed to say it, struggles with my mental health. I felt very much like a ship lost at sea with the navigation turned off and found myself struggling to get back on course. That is when I discovered the tarot.
I was browsing the local booksop when a version of the traditional Raider Waite deck called to me. I didn’t hesitate; I bought it there and then. More than a decade later, that same deck (and a dozen or so others!) still sits proudly on my altar and continues to be the guiding presence it was back then. Especially important in this strange world we seem to live in nowadays.
Learning about the tarot has led me to discover more about paganism and the numerous paths it has. I have connected with the deities Brigid, Cernunnos, and Hecate at various points throughout my journey, and would label myself as an eclectic witch and pagan.
One of the most incredible and memorable experiences I have had is finding my spirit animal, the leopard. She is a constant presence in my life, showing me what I cannot physically see but can feel in the energy around me. One year, at the sabbat of Imbolc, she and my other deities gave me an precious gift; my craft name, Pantherion. I have not looked back since.
Today, I am passionate about support other spiritual souls along their path and creating a space where pagans, witches, and wiccans (and other magickal souls) can feel safe in exploring the world around them, with advice and guidance on all sorts of questions.
I hope you enjoy listening to The Old Path podcast and other work I produce. Let’s walk the path together.
Blessed Be
Pantherion
